Our name is drawn from Greek mythology, where the Anemoi were the gods of the winds. It reflects our ability to navigate changing market currents and harness opportunities across the energy landscape.

Jan Scheepers brings 30+ years of senior managerial experience in ship owning, chartering, and freight trading. Previously serving as global head of shipping at Trafigura and Arcadia Petroleum, he has been involved in numerous port/terminal, LNG, and storage projects with international companies and governments through his advisory company, South Energy.
Daniel Lappin
Founder
After completing a mathematics and economics degree in 2000, Daniel joined Trafigura’s fledgling graduate program, where he spent several years, finishing as the senior trader in the leading Trading desk in global oil. From accounts and exposures to Operations and blending, he gained a thorough understanding of all facets of the business
Daniel also worked for Morgan Stanley, learning everything he could about lightends and oil derivatives flows.
When he left Trafigura, Daniel started a desk for the then growing Noble group, supporting the Head of Trading in building out the franchise, largely focusing on arbitrage opportunities within the gasoline and naphtha space. His role involved hiring and training new staff, building analytics and risk systems, and managing governance.
After a brief tenure at Freepoint, Daniel joined AOT, where he grew a niche business in Milford haven, blending and storing gasoline grades for NY, before joining Mercantile and Maritime as Global head of trading.
After nearly 4 successful years; geopolitical changes, and a growing desire to take a more holistic approach to the energy sector, saw him take a brief sabbatical before creating Anemoi.
Anemoi leverages his 27+ years of experience in the energy sector to help other industry professionals thrive.
